OBJECTIVE: Two years after the major interior and exterior renovation of the Farm Stand was in 2015 completed, this set of upgrades was proposed by this designer, all of which would have provided aesthetic enhancements, such as window boxes, molding, and trim, and one of two designs for an automatic watering system. PROFICIENCIES: While many of the SketchUp models created for these upgrades are relatively simple, it is instead the technical, 2D LayOut drawings that demonstrate proficiency in generating detailed documentation and clearly communicating such plans, assisting stakeholders in visualizing attractive potentialities, and allowing skilled craftsman to instantiate such objects in the real-world.
OUTCOME: Some of the proposed changes, such as the minimalistic planters, were completed in 2018, and currently show no signs of needing repair. Other features, such as the trim around the windows and doorways, and the hanging garden, have yet to be implemented, although they may yet be realized should the constraints of the budget allow. Finally, while neither version of the passive, automatic watering system is likely to be built, they nevertheless demonstrate creativity in problem solving.
